My name is Bashar and I am the Operation Manager for Swagg Sauce. Today I will review the newly released SMOK TFV8 Cloud Beast. This tank deserves much evaluation by Swagg Sauce . I hope you will enjoy this article and find that it will be helpful before or after purchasing this innovative tank.
I decided to browse through the SMOK website to read how they rated and described their Smok TFV8 Tank .I found that I really enjoyed their marketing and advertising for this product. If you notice it has a volcano background on the box which makes it very appealing to any customer. It had me questioning, "How could this possible be related to a volcano?" I continued to read and find their explanation. SMOK introduces the SMOK TFV8 Cloud Beast Tank as: “The ancient volcano, Mount Vesuvius, is a cloud beast entrenched into the earth. Although calm, the 2,000 foot diameter crater fills with steam; a formidable, gasping lion. Once awakened, she erupts lava into an ominous sky, and the earth trembles with her great power."
Wow! Now that's an introduction. A volcano, mountains, 2000 feet, gasping LION ……. But still had to wonder, how does it relate to a tank??!!!!!! LOL
As I continue reading, they further explain their tank as below:
"SMOK brings you this magnificent power, completely changing your vaping experience. The TFV8, is the ultimate sub-ohm atomizer. The TFV8 utilizes 4 unique, patented Turbo Engines: V8-T8 (6.6T), V8-T6 (6.0T), V8-Q4 (5.0T), and the V8 RBA (4.0T-X). These add up to make the TFV8, a real Cloud Beast!

My personal opinion, the tank is really efficient. Also I found it to be a very good flavor tank with every puff. I really do love this tank. This model I find would be easier to use as an all-day-tank. Last year they introduced the TFV4. It may have had a few flaws, but the majority of our customer feedback was satisfaction. I am so happy that SMOK listened to their clients and improved the TFV4 to this cloud Beast Model TFV8.
SMOK TFV8 Cloud Beast made this tank as the next step up from the popular TFV4 Tank. The TFV4 sub ohm tank is known for having some of the biggest coils in the sub ohm tanks available in the vape industry. I think SMOK learned a lot with the TFV4 which resulted in this new improved tank. Even though the SMOK TFV8 is called the Cloud Beast, you can be assured that there is plenty of flavor in the coils as well.

I would like to do a quick comparison between the TFV4 and the TFV8. I will start with brief pictures about the TFV4 provided by the SMOK website.

Size and Capacity TFV4 and TFV8
Much is the same with the SMOK TFV4 and the TFV8, and much has changed, for the better.
Size-wise, the TFV4 is:
24.5mm x 70mm, or 0.964 inches in diameter and 2.7 inches high.
The SMOK TFV8 is (at its widest point) the same 24.5mm in diameter, but the height has come down to just 50mm, or 1.9 inches.
ejuice capacity of the TFV4 is 5.0mL and the TFV8 is 6mL
the Cloud Beast, or TFV8 is20mm shorter and holds 1mL more ejuice than the TFV4. That is something to consider.
Handling the SMOK TFV8 Cloud Beast is easier than the TFV4,
The SMOK TFV8 Cloud Beast Tank has improvements over theTFV4 across the board.
SMOK took in a ton of feedback from actual users, and reviewers, and then went about creating the TFV8 Cloud Beast that would reflect the best of the feedback.
Some of the improvements over the TFV4, including the increase in capacity and overall height of the TFV8, are as follows:
Improved Airflow
The airflow slots on the TFV8 increase intake by 18% from bottom airflow slots. The airflow Tube was also increased, by a bit more than 30%, creating an unbelievable vape experience.
Improved Top Fill
I liked the Top-Fill method in the TFV4. The soft plastic protection “lid” had a small, but usable, slot forfilling, and because it was soft, I was able to squeeze in the eye-dropper from the ejuice bottle easily, without muss or fuss. Still, everything can be improved, no?
The Top-Fill system for the SMOK TFV8 is much the same of the TFV4, but the e-juice hole of the top-fill section has been enlarged some, to allow the user to insert eye-droppers even better. Some people mention that they are huge fans of the older TFV4 say the new enlarged top-fill hole is great, it’s a decent improvement the SMOK did in this tank
SMOK TFV8 Cloud Beast is an all-day-tank, you need to keep in mind that the power needed to drive the tank, and the huge amounts of ejuice it takes to keep a Vaper vaping.
Note : Each of the Coil Heads available for the TFV8 is rated for wattage, and this does provide some leeway into the power/ ejuice needs.
New Coil Heads and RBA
The SMOK TFV8 launches with four coil head options, all using Kanthal A1 wire.
The RBA section includes a dual coil Clapton with Kanthal, you can use any wire with the RBA for Temperature Control vaping.
But, at this time, the SMOK TFV8 is not for TC Vapers unless the RBA component is used with various TC wire (Nickel, Titanium, Stainless Steel).
The highest wattage coil that comes with the SMOK TFV8 Cloud Beast package is the V8-T8, which can be vaped at up 260 watts with the right ejuice.

SMOK TFV4, SMOK introduced 15 different coil heads.
The three standard coil heads and the one RBA are all rated in wattage of at least 50w. The top-end of the wattage scale varies as to the coils in the heads, but maxes out at 260w.

The V8-T6 coil head is rated at 50w to 240 watts. The ohms rating is 0.2, and the coil is made up of 6 separate coils, a patented design.
This Turbo coil head can be used to create a great vape at about 90-100w. No doubt you’ll go through more ejuice and battery life, but the flavor from this coil head, and the vapor production, will beat any prebuilt coil head on the market, except for the T8-V8.

This coil head has a total of 6 oblong cuts into the outer casing to allow even more air to circulate directly on the quad , i vape it on 85 watt and i really really really enjoyed how smooth and soft vape experience i got , then i raise it to 105 watt , i like it but i felt the flavor start to get more watery then i get more curious and i went up to 135 watt to achieve my warm vapor,,,, again battery life and ejuice consumption was high.

before anything you should consider that the V8-T8 is the coil head of choice, the user should expect to have a couple of extra “sets” of batteries in waiting, as well as an extra 60mL bottle of ejuice at the ready.
You can expect the largest clouds you imagine, with extraordinary flavor with a MaxVG eliquid, but should you decide to vape at 120-180 watts, my experience with coil

The TFV8 RBA coil has an enormous improvement over the RBA for the TFV4.
The TFV8 RBA section has an 18mm build deck for making easy work with just about any wire or any build.
For builders SMOK outfits the TFV8 with a strong V8 RBA Head (4.0T-X) that includes a pre-installed 0.28ohm Clapton Dual Coils.
The build deck features a two-post, dual terminal design that will accommodate a wide variety of build ‘styles’ and coil structures.
While the Clapton coils are attached, the user will still have to wick it, SMOK includes some organic cotton to fully wick the RBA..
Inside the TFV8 Tank box is everything the user needs, and everything the users get when purchasing the RBA section separately
HOW TO BUILD THE RBA
1- Taking RBA apart.
2- Installing the pre-wrapped coil.
Place the coil between the posts and wrap the ends around the screws, and tighten up. Once in place, make sure the coil is fixed in the center and lined up with the air hole. Make sure the coil is NOT touching the base.
3- Position and cut the ends of wire off.
4- Cut a strip of cotton and make sure it's not too much, and not too little.then Insert the cotton, and place it in the middle.
5- Cut the cotton at an angle. Make sure it’s not too short and not too long.
6- Wet the coil with your e-liquid and adjust the cotton. Warning: Coils must be checked for resistance before they are fired on a device, and re-checked periodically to ensure the resistance remains the same.
